• Think opportunities for all.
    Think Deutsche Bank.

We're driving positive change for our people and society by encouraging diversity, equity and inclusion at Deutsche Bank.

At Deutsche Bank, we believe that improving diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) is a powerful enabler of success. We aim to increase the number of women and people of all ethnicities in senior, decision-making and client-facing roles. We have developed a vision of progress based on four important aspects to making our bank a place that drives positive change: our people feel they belong; we create a more equitable environment; we make DEI business imperative; and we hire people with different skills and backgrounds.

  • Our 35 by 2025 programme aims for 35% of women in our top ranks by 2025. Deutsche Bank is committed to creating a working environment that attracts and retains women, and for the fourth year in a row, we've been listed in The Times Top 50 Employers for Women in the UK.
  • We have exceeded our interim goal of attaining 35% women in the three most senior corporate titles (Managing Directors, Directors and Vice Presidents) and achieved 32.3% representation in this area at the end of 2023.
  • As of year-end 2023, women account for 28.3% of our STEM workforce and hold 29.1% of the revenue-generating management roles in Sales, Client Advisory, Trading, Marketing and Sales Coverage Support.
  • For over 20 years, we've received high scores in the Human Rights Campaign's annual Corporate Equality Index. In the last two years, we've been awarded Silver Employer in India Workplace Equality Index and Platinum Employer status in the AWEI Australian LGBTIQ Inclusion Awards. We're proud to have received high scores over the years in important diversity areas — but we recognise there is still work to do.

With 153 nationalities represented in our talented workforce, we believe diverse teams are most productive in an inclusive environment. We will continue to equip our people with the resources to make informed decisions based on equity.

Our global "Everyday Inclusion Toolkit" provides guidance for everyone in the company on how to move intentionally and proactively towards diversity, equity and inclusion. It also includes guidance for inclusive hiring and talent development and encourages open conversations.

Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) currently support a variety of communities, including women, LGBTQI+ colleagues, multicultural and people of colour, parents, generations, and veterans, and encourage physical and mental wellbeing. We believe ERGs unite colleagues from all different backgrounds to support a better workplace for all.

We know that not everyone starts in the same place. That's why we continue to empower under-represented groups with initiatives like the Black Opportunity Leadership Development (dbBOLD), a programme that invests in the career development of Black Vice Presidents. Our ERG dbEnable was developed to help better understand neurodiversity and support neurodiverse colleagues in the workplace.
