At Deutsche Bank, women are encouraged to take up leadership roles to bring many diverse perspectives to the ever-changing world of finance.
I’m Priyanka, a Director in the EMEA Ratings Advisory Team and head of the junior teams for this team and LDCM-Analytics in Mumbai. I joined Deutsche Bank in 2013 as a Senior Analyst. Since then, I’ve been involved in many important initiatives: leading teams, internal coaching, lean-in circles and the Proud Parents Programme.
For me, building strong relationships with colleagues, having supportive managers and ensuring clear communication helps me thrive at work and at home. I’m a big believer in good work, delegating ownership and responsibility while providing adequate support when needed. Ensuring goals and objectives are clearly communicated so the team can achieve their work goals while keeping their individual career aspirations in mind is very important.
- My mentors have been people who have inspired me at various points in my career.
- Knowing women who have been in the same shoes as myself and have been successful is an inspiring motivator.
- Having a supportive manager is a game-changer for many women in leadership positions.
- Networking through leadership resource groups is an effective way for women to build their networks and careers at Deutsche Bank.

“What helps me thrive daily is good work, good people, a great manager and an amazing team. Collaboration and communication are very important for growth.”
“Invest in building relationships with mentors and colleagues early on — don’t just reach out when you need them. A consistent level of engagement and updates of your accomplishments go a long way in relationships in banking.”
