GROW (Graduate Outreach for Women)

Our Insight programmes are aimed towards first-year university students and have been designed to provide an immersive experience and exposure to the world of banking or technology. On each programme, you'll receive guidance and mentorship from our senior managers, build in-depth relationships with Deutsche Bank employees and understand what their day-to-day looks like. Take a look at the programme overview to see if this is the programme for you.

Programme overview

GROW is a four-day development programme for first-year students who identify as women. The programme allows students to improve their employability skills, meet students with similar interests, and speak to senior colleagues and recent graduates to learn about the opportunities we offer across all the divisions at Deutsche Bank.

During the programme you will be invited to join structured workshops and masterclass sessions delivered by the Early Careers team to help improve your employability skills. Topics include creating your personal brand, CV and interview preparation including mock interviews, to help you navigate the application and assessment process at Deutsche Bank.

Outstanding students on GROW will be eligible to apply for our Summer Internship programme the following year.

Whilst you have chosen to apply to GROW, you'll be exposed to numerous areas of the bank and have an opportunity to attend in-person workshops, interactive or networking sessions to see what goes on behind the scenes.

Who can apply?

This programme is aimed at students who identify as women in their first year of a three-year course, or second year of a four-year course.

We are looking for highly intelligent and driven individuals who have a genuine interest in a career in the banking and finance sector thrive in a diverse, inclusive culture where innovation and agile thinking abound.

We welcome applications from students of all degree disciplines. While you are not expected to have knowledge and experience of banking and finance, your willingness to learn and motivation for this opportunity is key.

How to apply

The GROW programme typically takes place in the spring around the Easter holidays.

Students are required to apply online and complete an online situational judgement test. Successful applicants will be required to complete inductive reasoning tests, a recorded video interview and finally a telephone interview.

“The continued growth of our GROW insight programmes is excellent to see. This programme is a key initiative for the bank in terms of supporting more women into the banking and finance industry. We know women are not as well represented in this sector, therefore programmes like this are pivotal in bringing in more diverse perspectives and backgrounds, which are essential to support the bank’s future growth.”
