• What to expect in the recruitment process

Deutsche Bank recruits on-campus for insight, internship, and graduate opportunities across the globe. You can visit the events section of this site to find out when we may be visiting your campus or running events virtually. You can also check with your careers’ services office and local university clubs and societies.

Dates vary by region and programme, but most vacancies open in September. Keep an eye on our social media pages and use our job search tool where you can see roles that are currently open.

Our application process

Timeline Item 1

Stage 1: Explore and research

We have a range of programmes which give you the option to start at any stage of your studies or after graduation.
We recommend that you use our Employability Hub which we’ve built to support you with the application and assessment process.

You can also search for events we are running that will provide you with an opportunity to ask questions of our employees before you apply.

Timeline Item 2

Stage 2: Apply

Once you have all the information you need, it’s time to take the next step and apply. Visit our “Apply” page to search for the role that you wish to apply for (please note that in India, you will need to apply directly via your campus). You will be asked to submit a short application form and to attach your CV. Make sure you check the eligibility criteria for the vacancy you are applying for. Stage 3: Online Assessments

You will be asked to take a series of online assessments, the type of which will vary depending on the role and region you’re applying for, but we usually start with an eligibility screen. Once passed, you’ll be invited to complete a Situational Judgement Test in all regions except the US and India, which helps us understand whether your values and behaviours align with ours. You’ll have two weeks to complete it, and when successful, you’ll go onto our Behaviour and Ability Assessments where we explore your behavioural preferences and personality style, as well as your critical reasoning skills. We’ll let you know whether you’ll be moving to the next stage or not, and provide you with feedback reports which will provide useful development tips and give an overview of your performance.
Timeline Item 4

Stage 4: Virtual Interview

An interview is your opportunity to tell us a bit more about you, your motivations for the role and what skills you can bring to Deutsche Bank. In our UK and APAC regions, this will be a video interview, where you will be provided some preparation time after being shown each question and before recording your response. In other regions, this may be a virtual meeting with the hiring division. It takes approximately 6 weeks from when you submit your application to when we’ll ask you to interview, so use this time to prepare and get to know Deutsche Bank!

Stage 5: Assessment Centre/Super Day

In most cases, you will be invited to an in-person assessment day, the components of which will vary depending on the role that you have applied for. Typically, you can expect competency assessments, case studies, and a technical interview – but more information on these assessments will be shared in your invitation email. Stage 6: Joining Deutsche Bank

We’ll call you with the outcome of your interview(s) within a week and provide you with feedback. You’ll have two weeks from that date to provide your offer decision. When you’re ready to join us, we’ll invite you to our Welcome Hub, where we’ll share useful information and advice ahead of your programme, so you feel supported and ready for your first day.
