Jan Jochen
What did you do before joining DBMC?
- Before joining DBMC, I worked for six years at Accenture, initially in risk management and later in strategy consulting. My professional career began at Berliner Volksbank, where I completed a dual study program and then worked in the risk controlling department.
What made you choose DBMC?
- I was initially drawn to in-house management consulting because I wanted to engage more deeply and sustainably with a company's challenges, while still working in an international environment. DBMC was the perfect match for this.
What do you enjoy the most at DBMC?
- What I enjoy most at DBMC is working with a young team of talented and helpful consultants who are always willing to go the extra mile. I also appreciate the top strategic topics we are called upon to address, which typically involve conceptual challenges and tasks. Furthermore, I value the highly international culture of Deutsche Bank in general and our internal clients in particular.
Pinaki Majumder
What did you do before joining DBMC?
- Prior to joining DBMC, I have had the opportunity to gain experience in both traditional external consulting (at Deloitte US-India and PwC India) and an internal strategy role (at Axis Bank, India's leading private sector bank). Over my 12+ years in consulting, I have served both global and India-based financial services clients. I completed my MBA at XLRI (Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur).
What made you choose DBMC?
- I have always enjoyed working in a consulting setup, solving a wide variety of critical problems for clients. DBMC has provided me with the opportunity to do just that, tackling challenges on a global scale while collaborating with talented colleagues and clients. I am happy to say that most of those boxes have been ticked in my two-plus years here. As one of the first members to join DBMC Mumbai, I also had the unique opportunity to help shape the team's culture..
What do you enjoy the most at DBMC?
- I truly enjoy the collaborative model we follow at DBMC. Even though we are separated by multiple time zones, we operate seamlessly as a single team.
Manisha Saraf
What did you do before joining DBMC?
- I hold a bachelor's degree from NIT Nagpur and an MBA from IIM Indore, where I was a gold medallist. I bring 10 years of experience in the financial services industry and consulting. Prior to joining DBMC, I worked with PwC (Management Consulting – Financial Services), Citi (TTS Ops – Workforce Transformation Centre), and Deloitte (Technology Consulting). In these roles, I supported multiple domestic and global clients across geographies in their business transformation journeys.
What made you choose DBMC?
- My previous experience in external consulting required extensive travel. DBMC offers an ideal balance - allowing me to engage in impactful and rewarding work while also spending valuable time with my family. This opportunity enables me to have both professional fulfilment and personal satisfaction, making my experience even more meaningful.
What do you enjoy the most at DBMC?
- I am delighted to be part of the DBMC team, surrounded by highly talented professionals who continuously inspire and challenge me. The organisation's collaborative culture across regions is truly commendable - whether it’s through internal initiatives, projects, or connectivity events. Tommaso Loto
What did you do before joining DBMC?
- I started my career through an integrated study program at Deutsche Bank, which allowed me to gain experience across the organization – from coverage and asset management to infrastructure functions

- During my internship at DBMC, I was immediately drawn to the collaborative culture and the impact of the project work. I realized that joining DBMC would provide the opportunity to gain hands-on experience on strategic, high-priority projects that shape the future of the bank, while accelerating my professional development.
What do you enjoy the most at DBMC?
- The dynamic team environment, working alongside talented colleagues from diverse backgrounds
- The exposure to strategic topics that drive the bank’s transformation and enable me to develop my skills early in my career
Echo Zhang
What did you do before joining DBMC?
- I have an undergraduate degree in International Relations and French from Mount Holyoke College and a postgraduate degree in Management from London Business School. After graduation, I began my career at Accenture in the consulting practice before moving to EY-Parthenon. During my time at both firms, I worked on a wide range of projects, including digital transformation, corporate strategy, and commercial due diligence.
What made you choose DBMC?
- I was drawn to DBMC because it combines strategic problem-solving with hands-on execution. The projects are not only high stakes and cross-functional, but they also give me the visibility from sharpening the strategy to piloting, iterating and scaling solutions.
What do you enjoy the most at DBMC?
- One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is being involved in the full lifecycle of strategic initiatives. This exposure allows me to see strategies come to life within the business, which is both intellectually stimulating and deeply fulfilling.
Lea-Isabel Wolpert
What did you do before joining DBMC?
- I completed my Bachelor’s degree at the University of Mannheim in Business Administration and Master’s degree at Nova School of Business and Economics in Finance. Throughout my studies, I gained valuable experience through multiple internships in consulting and investment banking. Upon completing my studies in 2024, I joined the team as an Analyst.
What made you choose DBMC?
- I chose to work at DBMC because of my strong interest in both banking and consulting. As a leading company in the banking industry, it provides the ideal environment to combine my passion for finance with the opportunity to work on impactful, strategic projects.
