Technical and Professional Skills Training
Buddy and Mentor
About the Programme
Our Internship Programme is designed to give students a true insight into a career in finance and to provide your first look into what life is like on our Graduate Programme. You’ll become part of a collaborative workplace here at Deutsche Bank and will experience our inclusive culture first-hand. The focus will be on building on your technical and interpersonal skills, you will take on real responsibilities, hear from senior leadership through our speaker series, work on live projects, grow your network and learn first-hand how we deliver for our clients. Read the Unofficial Guide to Banking to better understand how our different business areas operate and what skills you’ll need for these.
What we offer
In your first few days with us, you will attend a comprehensive Orientation designed to aim to support you to get up to speed as quickly as possible. You’ll get to understand more about us, how we are structured, the work that we do and how you will play a key role during your time with us. Your technical and professional skills training continues throughout the Internship with weekly business updates and bite-size training sessions.
"During the internship, colleagues gave me responsibility because they felt like I was capable of handling it. I knew that if I did run into any challenges, they would be there to help me every step of the way." Kofi – Graduate Analyst
You will have met your graduate buddy before you joined, and they, together with our Early Careers team, your Line Manager and Mentor will be on hand throughout the programme to answer any questions you have.
Although you will be working in one division of the bank, we encourage you to understand our broader business and so provide numerous networking opportunities to meet fellow interns and colleagues across our network.
By the end of your time with us, you will have gained invaluable work experience and have a clearer sense of your future career path. We will also be in the position, if successful, to make you an offer for our Graduate Programme once you complete your studies.
