If you want to learn all about the banking industry and see where your career could take you, the Rise programme is the perfect place to start!
I am Kezia, an Analyst within Investment Bank at Deutsche Bank. I discovered the Rise programme during spring week in my first year of university. I was attracted to the programme because it was tailored to students of Black heritage, offering an insight for those interested in banking or technology but lack experience and exposure. This was perfect for me because it helped me learn about the divisions at Deutsche Bank and the steps needed to take to work in them.
- The Rise programme introduced me to the world of banking, which led to me securing a place on an internship and graduate programme. It’s a great way to get your foot in the door!
- Over the four days, I took part in workshops and masterclass sessions to help me develop the skills I need for my career.
- We spoke to and learned from recent graduates and senior colleagues through networking sessions and panel discussions.
- There was also the chance to prep for your interview. I learned how to create my personal brand, tailor my CV and attend mock interviews so I could showcase my skills and traits in the best light.

“My advice? Don’t be afraid to ask a lot of questions. Be open-minded and come with a learning attitude, taking advantage of everything that is offered to you. It will help unlock so many doors and is a great way to network and learn more about the opportunities available at Deutsche Bank.”
